Our Community Transport
We run our own small fleet of accessible minibuses to support our work as a transport provider for community groups, local organisations and clubs in North West Edinburgh. As one of the city’s community transport operators, we are members of the Edinburgh Community Transport Operators Group (ECTOG).
Our fantastic team of drivers and passenger assistants, many of whom are volunteers, play an invaluable role delivering our transport service. If you would like to volunteer as a PEP driver or passenger assistant, please see our volunteering opportunities page.
Hiring A Minibus
Our minibuses are available for hire, any time of day or night, 365 days a year, for affiliated members. Each minibus is equipped with a tail lift for accessibility and comes with between 8 and 16 seats.
Affiliation: If you are a local group, such as a community organisation, you can hire our minibuses with a PEP driver or as a self-drive. All you need to do is call PEP on 0131 315 4466, become affiliated for a small fee, and let us know the details.
With PEP driver – let us drive you: We offer hire of our minibuses with a PEP driver. If you are already affiliated to PEP, you can enquire about booking a minibus by contacting Aileen on 0131 315 4466 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Self-hire – drive your own group: To check that you are eligible to use our self-drive option, please contact Aileen on 0131 315 4466 or email email@example.com.
The Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) is a recognised U.K. standard for the training of minibus drivers. All PEP minibuses are driven by qualified MiDAS drivers.
PEP delivers MiDAS training to other organisations, with our instructor Diane providing regular MiDAS courses.
