In May, we made an exciting new addition to the PEP team – our Transport Manager Aileen! Aileen came on board to manage our fleet of accessible minibuses and our team of dedicated drivers.
Our minibuses provide transport to involve our local community, including older people and other vulnerable adults. At PEP, our motto is “Helping People Participate”, and our community transport is an integral part of that goal.
As Transport Manager, Aileen’s role is to coordinate our vehicles and our drivers so that local people can come to PEP clubs, giving them the opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Our transport service also reaches out to the wider community, providing transport for local clubs and organisations.
If you would like to hire a minibus, with or without a PEP driver, please see our Transport Services page.
As she settles into her new role, Aileen is now focussed on continuing the modernisation of our minibus fleet, preparing them for many more years of service to our communities – with one new bus on the road and another one due in a few weeks, she certainly has plenty to keep her busy!
If you would like to help Aileen to develop our community transport service, we are looking to expand our volunteer driver team as we provide more passenger journeys over the coming months.
